I don't want to have to go through the trouble of swapping motherboards but would like a PCIX controller card that wont break the bank to get hte most out of my soon to have C300 or C400. What would you guys recommend. It needs to be bootable as it will be for my OS. Thx for any advice. I am finally ready to ditch the dual G1 Intels in Raid 0.
 
If he's talkIng about the motherboard in his sig, he means pci-e, not pcix.
 
LSI SAS2008 for example. Or the simple Marvell 6Gbps controller on PCI-express 2.0 x1 addon card.
 
I think the Intel 3 Gbps ports are faster with most SSDs than the 6 Gbps Marvell (9128) ports. A SAS2008 based card is a good choice, it may cost more than a new mainboard though.
