I just received my new system from Newegg and am putting it together. My motherboard is an ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 and it came with an "SATA" cable. My HD is a HITACHI Deskstar T7K250 3.0Gb/s- OEM.

Will this regular SATA cable work for SATA II? I'm assuming it does since I only see "Serial ATA 150" cables on Newegg, but want to be sure.

Yes, SATA and SATA II use the same cable type. There is no difference and you'll have no problem running a 1.5gb/s cable at 3.0gb/s.
