Anybody running an SATA drive as a master drive and a standard IDE drive as a slave have success?

I have a DFI Lanparty motherboard and it will not boot when I have the IDE drive plugged in. It worked for about a day and now it will not work at all when the IDE is plugged in. I tried all sorts of bios's, settings, and jumper configurations with no success. Any ideas what could be doing this??

well, if by master you mean boot drive, it should work. You may have to set it to boot from SCSI in the BIOS. (or SATA-RAID if it's an option) If it's a controller add-in card, it'll definitely be SCSI in the BIOS. (even though technically it's not) You might want to change the first boot device to your hard drive (whatever setting that may end up being) as I've had the best success with it being first.
