Is there any reason a SATA converter that i got from my ABIT mobo wont work in another computer? Im using a Seagate 120gb drive and it wont recognize the drive in bios or windows. Yes i plugged in the 4pin power connector. im baffled.

are you sure it works?

are you sure the drive works?

I can't think of any way that it would be specific to abit boards since sata is a standard.

Abit SERILLEL2 adapters are compatible with Silicon Image SATA controllers only.
Good call, and those controllers are on-board.
