sata hard drives not detected...

currently going through installing windows xp 64-bit onto a recent upgrade and first, we had problems with finding drivers. we found them after a while and now we're discovering that the drives are not at all detected in bios, in boot, or in the windows install. not sure what to do, really that's about as far as we get. we recently had them setup for raid0 on a p4, upgraded mobo and proc and trying to do a new install.
