My motherboard didn't come with one even though it has a port for it. I'd like to hook my 840 evo up to it and see if I get any better performance.

Anyone know where I can find a sata express cable? Can't find one anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

The 840 EVO is not a SATA Express drive. You will not get any speed benefit.
It neither has the required additional electrical connections nor is the drive's controller capable of it.

You can use a standard SATA cable to connect the drive to the SATA Express port, but the port will just behave like a legacy SATA port.

I saw a review of a motherboard and a guy put a normal sata3 SSD on it and got 738mb/s read speeds.

Regardless, I'd still like to know where I can get a cable if/when I do get a sata express drive since my motherboard didn't come with one.
