I have a friend's SATA hdd from a Dell comp he has. It got corrupted somehow and won't boot up windows, it just keeps going back to post screen. All of the diagnostic tests done on the hdd from within the bios passed. There's alot of info that needs to be recovered and backed up, so I would like to get some kind of external usb/firewire enclosure to connect it and get the files out. I have no SATA compatible mobo, and he doesn't have an extra connection on his comp. Is there an adapter for the ide external enclosure I already have, that I can use, or maybe a cheap solution to be able to browse the hdd? Please help. Thanks
