Hi, I've been using IDE hds for years and I recently bought a seagate SATA 200G hd. But for some reason I can hear spinning sound from my SATA hard drive. It actually vibrates the whole system when it does. The sound is not high pitched, it is rather low, but it's a little annoying. At first the disk spins hard and then it slows down and then spins hard again, this goes on and on. I thought there was something wrong with the drive, so I returned it and got DiamondMax 10 300G but I can still hear the sound. The funny thing is, so far(2 month), I haven't had any disk errors or data losses from the drive. It seems it's working great other that this annoying sound. Does this mean this drive is also a bad one? I've look through some places but never found any answers. I wonder if some of you guys could help me out. Btw, my mobo is IC7-Max3 from Abit. Thanx.
Pardon my gramma... heh
