System Info:
Windows XP Pro SP2

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+
Corsair Value Select 1GB PC3200 Non-ECC 184Pin CL3
Radeon x700 Series
Maxtor 6L200M0
Maxtor 6L200P0
Sony DVD RW DRU-810A
Sony CD-RW CRX230EE
Hiper Type R 580W
View Sonic VX924
Thermaltake Damier V5000A Black Series
On boot up I get the error message:
Disk Reliabilty degrading, risk of data loss.
Controller 0, Channel 0, Master
This is related to my SATA Hard Disk, does anyone know why this error is appearing and how it can be solved? Is there a piece of software I can use to test how badly damaged as I believe my HD has a 3 year warranty and there should be at least a year left.
I don't know if this is related but last week I got the "missing or corrupt \system32\drivers\ntfs.sys" error which seems to have resolved itself and I can now get back into Windows. NB: My SATA drive is not my main hard drive, it is only a secondary drive and my OS is on my IDE drive.
Thanks!
