Sata Data connector snapped off

I have a Seagate 3tb ST3000DM001 drive that is out of warranty and the Sata Data connector snapped off while I was rearranging my drives. The pins are fine but obviously I can't use the drive since the Sata cable won't stay on. Is there any relatively cheap way to fix this? I have already contacted Seagate and they will not repair the drive.

Duct tape the SATA cable to the drive (amusing you can get solid connections) or strip one end of a SATA cable and solder it onto the drive. Should still work, especially if you just want to pull data off of it.
 
Do you still have the little nub that broke off? I've actually had success using superglue for this before.
 
try to find the connector that broke off , had same problem with a samsung 830 ssd about 2 days ago. never had one break before but that one did. i used some abs glue that is generaly for plastic drain lines for homes. can be purchased at any hardware store . that did stick it together well enough for me to connect sata cable to it. i didnt do any testing to see how long or how strong this glue is but it seemed to work well enough for me

Buy the same exact drive if you can and swap the circuit boards. make sure they are the same rev. Either that or learn to solder and replace the connector. Ive had to do it once.
 
Also I think there is a cement type of permanent glue that may hold the tab in place long enough to transfer data.
