I have this motherboard:
Biostar M7NCG 400
http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?model=M7NCG 400

and want to buy this hard drive:
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16822144701

I know I need an SATA Controller. The problem is that I also have a chaintech motherboard with SATA on it, but it is awating a processor (its socket 754 for amd64) I need the storage now, but I don't really need the SATAII features and such, as I just need more space.

What's the cheapest card I can get that will work and not suck, I've heard about problems with some "known bad" SATA chips. I thank you all in advance for the help.

(I would like to have the SATA controller cost < 20.00 shipped.)
