I know that ICH 5 does not natively support sata command queuing. What other chipsets, along with intel's ICH 6, support this feature? For example: does the silicon chip (SIL3114) on an IC7 Max3 natively support this function?

I was just preparing to post this exact same question. I need to know what chipsets or boards support the NCQ command queing that those new Seagate drives support. I want to get an NCQ setup going but I don't know what to buy to get it to all work.

For that matter, has anyone gotten benchmarks from low end servers using it yet?
 
yea, I'm aware of that article. I'm looking for current up to date information. I can't believe real non vaporware NCQ hardware is so hard to find. Even after reading all those articles I still couldn't tell you whether there are any mboards out there that support it.
 
I didnt cull the chipsets from that article,
both of those support NCQ but Im not sure the SI is on any board yet
readilly available oncard however
