Is it possible to connect more than 1 SATA cable to another SATA cable? For instance connecting from my eSata port with a eSata to sata cable then adding another standard SATA cable to that (like a daisy chain) to connect it to my internal HDD

I ask as a eSata to Sata cable is eSata male to Sata male (to connect to an internal drive it needs to be a female 7pin)

I don't think it's possible, but if you find a way I wouldn't recommed it.
Cables are designed for a specific length and going beyond that could cause problems.
Just get a longer cable.

Maximum cable length under the SATA standard is 40 inches (or about 1 meter, if you prefer). I wouldn't recommend chaining cables, that just seems to be begging for trouble.

you can get a e sata - sata cable somewhere i have seen them

if this helps
