Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
In real world use, are there any noticeable improvements moving from a SATA drive to an SATA2 drive? I have a motherbord that only supports SATA and was wondering if it's worth the cost to upgrade to one that support SATA2.
Sata II gives you higher bandwidth but seeing as sustained transfer rates are easily handled by SATA 1, there isnt much advantage going to SATA II (unless you use RAID and need more bandwidth than SATA 1 can handle).
Burst transfer rates will be improved by the move to SATA II but these transfers form only a small part of hard drive accesses and therefore dont add much to overall performance.
