SATA and ATA 100?

Im having problems with my rig in the sig and I cant boot into windows due to a bios problem. I have a bunch of essays I wrote that are saved on the raptor and I desperately need to get them off. I have a sony vaio desktop with ata 100 hard drives. I was wondering if I could just plug in my raptor to that and get the data that way. Would that work or is it too dangerous? How can i get this data off of this hard drive?

the cpu vcore is up at 1.65v and i cant get it down because i cant get into bios. i did one time but i tried to manually change it but it wouldnt budge. not sure what to do about that. I have another thread here on that subject.

I think itjust has ata 100 ports :(

is there any way i can get these essays?
 
you will need a sata to pata converter in order to make it work in an ata100 setup

Reset the bios.
