SATA 300 running at ATA133

OK i have been messing with this forever and dont know what to do. i just built this computer and it is the only problem i have. do i need to update the bios? any input would be awsome. I have a
ECS geforce6100SM-M mobo
seagate SATA/300 7200rpm 8mb st3160812as-rk 160GB

My HD doesnt even have a ATA connection. but when i bootup it says its running at aTA133. the mobo says it does SATA 300 so i donno. i Ran HD Tach i donno how to read the results relly but my average read was 62 mb/s and my random access was 16.9 ms any help would be really appreciated thanks
