We are currently in 7th place for the challenge. Work units seem to be running smooth so far. If they continue to run solid, I may suggest adding it to the DC-Vault.

Good news from Oleg
I do agree, we need more performance.
1. About 15000 tasks are ususlly ready to sent
2. There were 3 weeks without tasks ready to sent in January 2014, and couple
times this year dry periods consisted of 1-2 days.
3. Yes, long project is our goal.
4. Now limit is 10 tasks per CPU core. It can be increased if needed.

Fixed credit system is working now.

Website is down. Amateur hour if you ask me. The vault shouldn't bring on these weak projects that have poor hardware to support the demand. Very poor choice.

Well...you had a chance to help test and find out these weak points. The good news is that 3 more projects will be considered and your input on them would be handy. Just some food for thought.

Here's my input. Announce a test period for each prospective project so we can test it out under stress BEFORE it is added.

You mean like the one posted in our forums on 12/9?

We took another spot in Constellation. Good job guys. I also want to remind people that SAT is up for consideration. http://www.team-ninja.com/vbulletin/...ad.php?t=55891 It seems to have positive support and I am waiting on hearing back from Rusty on how much longer we should leave it posted before making final decision.

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1620596&page=62

and the one in the DC-Vault forums where new projects are discussed back on 11/21?

http://www.team-ninja.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=55891

And the project is what 3 years old now? So, we aren't talking a new project that just opened its doors. Also, keep in mind SETI goes down weekly. Yet it is still in the Vault. SAT has had a much better up time record than many projects.

And please consider the first post in this thread where a challenge was even held before the suggestion to add it. So there was certainly extra load during that time. Let's not jump the gun until we know more on why it went down in the first place shall we.

I have found the SAT@Home site does go offline occasionally, but it has always been for relatively short periods of time. It doesn't happen that often, but it does seem to usually happen on weekends.

Front page news (no link because they don't have a News section in the forums)

Server was restored

Server of the project was offline for 3 days because of hardware problems. Recently these problems were fixed. Server was restored

For those that had multi-processor systems but minimum RAM (designed for FAH bigadv) SAT is a good choice. This project is very light in RAM from what WUProp reports. I haven't been watching yet, but WUProp claims they are less than 10MB each.

I'll throw some more cores at SAT once I grab us a couple more positions in Leiden Classical.

Yeah... I cut back on Leiden due to the challenges and then the addition of SAT. I will probably stay on SAT mostly until the DC-Vault testing challenges I set up start. After that, I will probably split things up between Lieden and Rosetta for a bit. (with the occasional challenge thrown in of course.. ;) )

It will be a bit before I focus on this one again. The other challenge I setup for EDGeS just started and then I will probably return to my prior goal projects for a while.

Congrats on the milestone.

Wow congrats man!

I have added news about this stuff:
"New experiment aimed at solving non-weakened cryptanalysis problem for the Bivium cipher was started. WUs are simpler than ones in previous experiment, so 84 credits are granted for every WU (instead of 130 credits)."
