I currently have a SAS/SATA controller that uses breakout cables, standard 1 breakout = 4 connectors. Both channels are in use, as I have 8 drives plugged into it. I want to plug in just two more drives. Is it possible to get a breakout cable that has something like 6 connectors? I can't use the built-in SATA connectors on the motherboard, as I'm doing VT-d passthrough.

They are 4 port break out cables because the SAS has 4 ports per mini sas connector. To increase the ports you either need an expander or a new SAS card with additional minisas connectors + an additional break out cable.
