Hey guys recently bought a new board its a asus PSQ3 i have setup raid 5 on it using the ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/ controller as soon as i plug in my new sas card lsi 1068E it picks up the sas card boots into windows fine but as soon as i restart and plug a hdd into the sas card it loads into windows and i can see the hdd on the sas card but when i go to device manager and look at the intel onboard raid it has yellow exclamation mark on it and i no longer can see the raid 5 onboard

Please help
Thanks In Advance

Holy crap that's just one long run-on sentence. No wonder people haven't tried to help.

In any case, have you tried actually checking out what exactly that exclamation mark means? It usually tells you once you check the properties of the device.

thanks but the exclamation mark only comes up on the onboard raid controller not the sas.

i get the feeling there conflicting

Do you boot from the RAID5? Does the Intel RAID BIOS load even when you attach the drive to the SAS controller? Try disabling booting in the LSI BIOS first.

thanks but the exclamation mark only comes up on the onboard raid controller not the sas.

Look into the properties of the device with the exclamation mark, there should tell the reason why it does not work (like Danny Bui already said).
If you don't provide more information nobody will be able to help.

Sorry im new to this under the exclamation mark it says the device failed to start and i dont boot of the raid 5 both the cards load fine but as soon as i plug in hardrives into the sas card it says the raid 5 card failed to start

thanks for helping
