Whats up guys?
It's me again. I just finished installing my X1950pro and was wondering what drivers to get. I have been out of the ATI camp for quite a few years now so I am not quite up to date on the driver situation. I am using Catalyst 7.6 right now, what do you guys recommend and are their any packages that not only offer a basic soft overclocking ability but temp monitoring as well?

Well if your not using your card for HTPC stuff ie. hooking it up to a projector etc, I would go with AMD driver install only + ATItray tools.

Last time I tried that, traytools refused to recognize my projector properly (Panasonic AX100) so went back to AMD CCC.
 
Thanks guys, I downloaded both programs you recommended.

I just have one more question, I found the drivers I was thinking of when I originally posted this (Omega) but found another set of drivers as well (NGO) so now I am wondering which is better NGO ATI Optimized Driver v1.7.3 or Omega Drivers 3.8.360 (Cat 7.4), or should I stick with the original ATI drivers?
 
I always try to stick with official drivers and software, then try 3rd party if it doesn't work out for you.
 
The AMD GPU tool allows for temp monitoing,if you're card supports it.
