Alright, I have a Sapphire X1800 XT (I believe), and in Everest and CPU-Z, the GPU is said to have 256MB, but I can't find anything on the internet about Sapphire X1800 XT's having 256MB, only 512MB, what gives? thanks.

With stock cooler? How hot does it run? How hot should it be running on default settings?

I have the 512 version, and there was indeed a 256 version, but I think it was released a little later, which is why most of the reviews and articles don't mention it.

Temps with the stock cooler (and without messing with the fan settings) run around 60C idle, and up to around 85C under full load. It seems hot, but that's what these cards are designed for. I've had a good experience with the the Accelero X2 cooler. It dropped my temps (load and idle) about 10-15C (in addition to being dead silent), and it can be found from many different websites for around $20.

And it certainly is a wonderful card, it can play pretty much anything maxed out at 1680x1050. I bought it a few months after the x1900 series came out, so I managed to nab it for $260, which was a really good price at the time for such a powerful card.

Nah, I got tired of the whine from the stock cooler and switched over to the Accelero X2. Not only is it quiet, but it actually cools better as well. Right now I idle at 45C and hit around 65 - 67C at load. So it's actually possible to have good performance without earplugs. ;)

I got a gcube x1800, I get idles of about 52c and full load around 75c, thats with the stock cooler, I overclocked once but I cant do it anymore due to ati tool being buggy with vista
