If I purchase the ATI Silencer 5 for my x800, would I be able to achieve faster clocks than if I keep stock? or should I just skip this upgrade for my video card and save money?
 
probably not worth the trouble if your looking for overclocks. I have never known the x800 128's to overclock well. Could be a similar situation to my 9800pro that might have gained 15-20 mhz when i put an artic cooler on it. The AC cooler was literally 5 times as large and did a much better job, but that card refused to overclock anyway.
