SAPPHIRE or HERCULES

The herc has a nice copper HS and ram sinks, and it looks great. OC's well, but no guarantees.

Im getting the same exact herc....I got it because of the price with all hte nice heatsinks it has :D....it should be here next week ill tell you if its any good then :D

I have the hercules 9800pro, best fricken 9800pro out there. Love the blue PBC, love the copper sinks and I love the copper orb HSF, much better than the stock cooler. Card preforms very well too.

thanks

but i cant decide what to get first that vid card.

or my MSI K8T-Neo and A64 3000+

ill prolly go with the vid card since that will dirve up my peformance in games most likely.

although the 64 is niiiiice. but i can always get the 64 and the mobo when school starts.

any mroe input on the herc would be nice though.

I wish I had seen the Hercules deal yesterday. I ordered a LeadTek 5700LE for my new system Im building this weekend. I needed a card to get me by until the new high end cards are available. But for that price, I would have ordered that card and just ran it permanently. I always miss out on the deals. :(

From the reviews I have read on newegg, the Powercolor ATI 9800Pro is going to give you be most bang for your buck. Right now the egg is selling it for $205, I bought the ATI brand with only 128Mb DDR for $300 when CompUSSR dropped the price from $400 to $300  wish I could have waited, but I had to have a card cuz I toasted my Ti4800.

::::::::::::::EDIT...........I originally posted the wrong link.............see my next post:::::::::::::

That's a 9600 Pro

Betwwen getting the video card or the mobo/proc, the video card will make a bigger difference in games, but if you dont game then get the mobo/proc first :)

If anyone who is an avid gamer is looking to buy a video card right now, i wouldnt recommend anything less than a 9800pro 128mb 256bit card
