Sapphire HD 5870 was released 10/2009
Sapphire HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 was released 3/31/2010

So, given the January 11, 2012 release date of the HD 7970, can we speculate a release date of May'ish for the non-reference sapphire cards?

For reference, here is a list of the non-reference cards Sapphire plans to release:

I'd imagine many of us are waiting for the Flex 6G (6 mini displayport).

It'll be hard to pass up the 7990 in March if the card has 4 mini displayport outputs like the 6990 did. The price of the 7990 is speculated to be $850 with an extra GPU -- the Flex 6G will have an additional 3G RAM on a single GPU -- I wonder what the price will be. Maybe $700?

LOL, on that list, is the reference card referred to as "Da Original" ?

I'm curious what the non-reference cards will bring to the table. It will probably take half a year for the 7xxx line to reach a good maturity. Would like to Crossfire 7950 cards if they become affordable (I'm talking $200 like the price point 5850s and 6950s hit part-way through their life-cycle).
