Finally want to build a gaming system (digging Team Fortress 2 a lot) finally after having a Dell/geforce 6800gto machine for 3 years. This seemed like a good deal ($165 @ NE). Price ended up being a factor, didn't want to go 200 or more at all. Anyone have experience with this card? Was it an OK purchase or was I dumb to not go with a newer line? Corsair vx500w ok for it?

512 bit, 512 mb, GDDR3, Dx10, Opengl 2, PCIE16x, ...

its gonna run hotter, use more power, than say the 3800 series, but for the price, its a pretty good deal.

That PSU should be fine with i also.

I grabbed one as well. The percentage of buyers who got their 2900Pro's to go to XT speeds is ridiculously high, so figured I'd buy one to tinker with. I think your power supply will be fine to run the card stock, but when you start OC'ing that bad boy, it will suck down some wattage.
