Sapphire 9800Pro 256mb

if u dont plan on OC'ing then stock cooling should suffice

the ppl with the bad reviews are awkward and prolly have horrible system cooling, dont worry about those ppl's bad results if you have good case cooling

ok cool, if it does start to overheat, should i turn to the arctic vga silencer, or some ramsinks since i heard that the ddr2 rams do run pretty hot.

I've got the card. No problems with overheating so far, but i wish I had known the Retail was coming so soon, I would have liked to have the overclocking utility. :(

weird. i have the sapphire "ultimate" of that and it's a beast. awesomely kick ass beast. and mine was 310 =-/

oh strange, pricewatch shows that the cheapest "ultimate" edition with the zalman heatpipe is 360 at newegg, where did you get yours?

newegg. :) huzzah for OEM refurb's. no really. it's a beast and rock solid. currently at XT speeds with no artifacting or any problem what so ever *knocks on wood*

oh refurbs, they don't have those anymore, i saw it a few days ago and it was outta stock anyways :(

FYI you can get a 128 version for much cheeper. From what I understand the performance diff between the 256 and 128 is minimal.

Most people are choosing the 256 not because of the extra performance now, but because of the performance they hope to get in future games which may demand more memory for textures.
