Hardforum members,

I am having a strange problem that I have never encountered before. I have a Sapphire 9600 PRO and when playing a video game (the timing of this error is random, but only when playing a video game) ATI Control Panel brings up the VPU recovery saying that my card has stopped responding to commands. What do I do?

*edit* after updating the graphics card drivers with the newest, I found that the problem of the VPU recovery coming up has ceased. However, while playing a game, I have noted a random reboot. I have checked the temperature in the bios and found everything to be normal. *edit*

I am running an MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum, AMD 3000+, Windows XP and as I have mentioned a Sapphire 9600 PRO.

*edit* I flashed my bios about a week ago to fix a problem that I had with my USB 2.0 controller not being present. I hadn't noted any errors before but I am wondering if they were present and didn't make themselves noticed. I am also wondering what voltage I should be running my 9600 pro at and if it will have problems running in 8x agp with my mainboard.*edit*

Any help would be most appreciated, I am going to try updating my drivers first to see if it helps...but I have a strange feeling it won't.
