Yesterday I built a new i5-750 machine with a Saphire 5850. On my first boot, the machine started and stopped a few times before getting through post. When I tried to install Vista, it would restart after the first "installing files" screen. This would happen over and over again. I tried leaving it on the BIOS settings for a while to see if it could maybe be a heat issue. It would stay on the screen for as long as I wanted it too (45 minutes). Same problem when we tried to install linux. My question is could the 5850 be too new for the mobo? Could it not accept the firmware on the vga? ANY advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
