Hi all
I am looking at getting the SANS DIGITAL TowerRAID TR8M-BP

to add some more storage to my media storage server.

My main question is will the preformance be good enough so that I can stream movies off of it and onto my HTPC.

The storage server will be running either centos with samba shares or I might go with Windows 2008 server with windows shares

The HTPC is a widnows 7 system running MediaPortal using mapped network drives all my movies are played in Windows Media Player Classic

I am not doing RAID so that is not an issue for me
