I couldn't agree more, 1920x1200 is my favorite rez for work and play. Though it seems to be more friendly to ignorant consumers they went with a default of 16:9. It seems the only way to get 1920x1200 anymore is to get a workstation class notebook :(
Too bad those kind of notebooks kill the needed 6+ hour run-time for me :(
 
I just ordered a T520, should have it by the end of the month (I hope)
1900 X 1080 LED option as well :)

I also ordered a seagate momentus xt 500GB and 2x4GB ram from newegg

I currently have an R61 w/ T8300 4GB ram which is about 3yrs old now, still super fast, but I can't wait for this laptop!

I'll let ya know when it shows up, pretty excited to get rid of this POS Dell and have a computer that will turn on every time I want it to.

ripken, what made you decide on the Momentus XT? I was reading on Seagate's forums and it seems like more people than not are having various problems with the 23 and 24 FW updates, and some testers have stated even the 25 release isn't helping.

I am debating between the Momentus XT and WD Black, think I'm going for the WD Black considering the FW issues with the XT.

I'm also ordering 4gb of Crucial RAM to get a total of 6gb, saved quite a bit over Lenovo's RAM upgrades, they're as bad as Apple in upgrade pricing.
 
i did a little research this morning on it and people were saying that once they updated the FW to xxx version it was all fine. hopefully I won't have any problems.

Where did you read it? I'd like to read up and see if I should go with the XT.
Did you order the latest release $150 one or the $100 one Newegg and Amazon have on sale?
