1) I will be using this computer for Gaming(any new game that his the market), Web design, photo editing

2) $2,000 but if I can keep it under that amount I would love too also its ok if i go over a bit.

HD: My HTPC is full and out of expansion space so I was going to get at least a 2TB HD for this machine for more movies, music, and pictures. I also want a SSD for OS + some games thinking 120GB and also a 500GB HD for misc programs and stuff for computer.

6) after reading about sandy bridge I think I will be overclocking

7) I currently have 2x 27" HDMI samsung monitors

8) I would like to build this as soon as possible but can wait if i must.....

Ok, scrap all the parts you chose right now. They're simply bad choices for the money. Not to mention that the Kingston will not work in any current Sandy Bridge mobos due to only having four RAM slots.

Please answer question 9.

I agree. Although that Antec 1200 case has about an inch to an inch-and-a-half more rear-to-front room than the Nine Hundred series, it is still relatively cramped compared to other brands of gaming cases in the same price range. This makes even connecting an internal SATA drive in that 1200 more difficult than it needs to be. Plus, the longest graphics cards still might not fit if there are any hard drives installed in the middle bays.

And I cannot recommend that Kingston set for the very reasons you stated: Sure, the OP can use four of those modules - but the other two goes to total waste.

And that Rosewill PSU is relatively crappy compared to the other 1000W PSUs on the market. Plus, the OP does not need anywhere close to a 1000W PSU for his planned build unless he plans to or is getting two very high-end GPUs at the same time. In fact, even with a single GTX 480 or 580, a good-quality 650W or 750W PSU would suffice for that Sandy Bridge rig. Thus, for the price of that relatively crappy 1000W PSU, one can buy a quality 750W unit that would likely outperform that 1000W Rosewill PSU.

To the OP:
The most important is the aforementioned Question 9: When will you be buying the components? This is because PC component prices are extremely volatile; they fluctuate wildly every month or every week or even every day.

Umm, that's question 8, which the OP did answer. Question 9 is: "What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc."

I stand corrected. All P67 motherboards have two SATA 6 Gbps ports and four SATA 3 Gbps ports with RAID capability. With P67, this narrows Question 9 down to "Firewire? Crossfire or SLI Support? USB 3.0? etc."

I thought all the ASUS P67 Mobo come with usb 3.0 and firewire just me sorry if im wrong. I always like extras so ya I will pay more to have the most options if I ever need them. and I put the wrong link to the ram I just updated it. Also someone said to scrap the whole build lol so what should I get in the place of these other items? I want to be able to always add Harddrive space I fill up 2TB's of bluerays about every 2 months.

well 1st off I would not store them on this system.. if your running out of space in your server then make more space in your server, Or build a 2nd server for storage only (if its only storing files can use something like an atom & it will perform fine)..

As far as the build goes Give it a couple days for real prices to come out & you will have better luck.
 
Well i only have a htpc that i use for a media server it and it only has 2 drive bays which currently have 2x2tb HD which are full or just about to be full. I was going to than use this machine also for overflow why is it not wise to do that? and if its not than what do I need to build? you mentioned "atom" what is that?

You are correct that all of the Asus P8P67 series mobos have onboard USB 3.0 controllers and onboard Firewire 400 (IEEE 1394a) controllers. And all except the LE support four USB 3.0 ports (two in back plus two for the front panel). But between the plain P8P67 and the next higher P8P67 PRO, choose the P8P67 PRO if you want (or need) SLI (if you have or are planning to have two Nvidia cards) and an onboard Intel NIC (lesser P8P67s below the PRO support only Crossfire and have only a cheaper onboard Realtek PCIe-based NIC). The higher-priced P8P67 EVO and P8P67 Deluxe have two onboard NICs - a primary Intel NIC and a secondary Realtek NIC.

And all P8P67 series motherboards have two extra SATA 6 Gbps ports (courtesy of an onboard Marvell controller) in addition to the two SATA 6 Gbps ports native to the P67 chipset. The PRO and higher models also come with two eSATA 3 Gbps ports.

Sandy bridge is out can I get help putting my system together today? and again why is it a bad idea to use this system I am building to hold all the rest of my music, blurays, & pictures? (my HTPC 4tb is full) I would like to keep this build around 1,500 but I have up to 2,000

Yea, just make sure that your original post is updated with all the questions from the sticky answered.. & as for the reason I think its a bad ideal is it comes down to efficiency.. I Know that I want all my media available all the time. But I dont want to leave my desktop on all the time as not only does it use more power, its more wear & tear on my more expensive components & it turned my office into a sauna when its left running.. So I have a low powered media server that I can leave on all the time that runs quiet, cool & uses less power.

And if your out of room in your current servers case its normally not hard to find a case with more expansion & maybe a sata controller card. Less then 100 bucks for the pair easily & then you for sure have room for more hard drives.

Shipped total is 1112.46, So well under budget. With the remaining budget you can choose to upgrade the PSU & add a 2nd video card for CF right out of the box.

& For a gaming system 8gb ram is overkill, so I didnt bother adding the 2nd 8gb kit to total 16gb.. Also the reason why I went with the 2500k instead of the 2600k. Gaming doesn't typically take advantage of hyper-threading so the 2600k was a hell of a premium for an extra 100 stock mhz.
 
That build is almost identical to what I have ordered, if you dont plan on buying in the next week Ill report back after I get mine built.

If space is a issue, there is a
1tb F3 HD for not much more.
 
I plan on also doing some web page design and some photo editing so should I still order a i5 from newegg? or pay $100.00 more for a i7-2600k?

Stick with the i5 2500K.

That WD Black 1TB drive is a bit overpriced considering that it's just as fast as this $20 cheaper HDD:

Yes. The 6950 should come with a DVI-to-HDMI adapter for you to connect the second monitor with.
 
I didn't think you could transfer sound through those DVI outputs and there are also 2 Mini display ports on the card and I was not sure if there was a mini display to hdmi that did sound also? (don't mean to be conffusing)

Also what CPU cooler should I get and should I get any more fans for the case?
