Sandisk 32GB Flash Drive!

Companies producing SSDs have an opportunity to correctly report size in conventional 2^x terms. It not obvious the base units are equivalent between size and throughput metrics, matter of fact quite the contrary.

Sandisk will be staying with 1meg == 1e6 as reported here.

According to Joe at Super Talent:

Well, since our SSD drives are based on Flash chips, we've decided to offer
capacities as powers of 2. That simply fits better with our design
architecture. So we offer 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, etc.

I actually asked Joe for further clarification on this. Also I'm waiting on a response from Intel.
