Sand paper for lapping 0.0

I went to all the big local hw shops and all I Could find is 600grit wet/dre sand paper >< one had 1500grit but it was just dry sand paper, where do you guys get 2000/1500/1000/600 grit from ?

paint supply store like Till or Sherman Williams, talk to someone knowlegable and build a relationship and every time you go back ask for the same dude to build rapport, most likely he'll be more willing to spend time with you to talk and explain differences or keep you updated on new products or techniques.
