I have tried everything to get this POS monitor to wake up from blanking, i've tried HDMI and DVI, it will blank but never wake up, i even tried to disable Windows 7's screen blanking and just use a screen saver and it still won't wake up.

I also tried turning the monitor off at night and it won't detect the signal using DVI or HDMI.

The only way to get it to wake up and be usable is to press the reset button. I tried different cables too.

This seems to be a problem with this and i can't believe they keep selling it without fixing it.

There must be some way to wake the stupid monitor up without resetting the PC, does anyone have any REAL ideas?

when does it go blank? Right before you log into windows? As in you see the windows logo and then before it reaches the desktop it goes black and blank?

When i let Windows 7 blank the screen, you know like after say 15 or 20 minutes it blanks the screen (in power management). If it's left for a few hours or overnight then it doesn't wake up which is very annoying, and the only way to use the monitor/pc is to press the reset button.

Oh dang. I had a different issue.

Mine wouldnt wake up if i put it to sleep, it turned out to be my gigabyte motherboard and my overclock being too hight.

As far as your monitor goes, it might be defective? could it be videocard drivers?

Have you tested it with a different monitor? a friends perhaps...or tried your monitor on their computer?

its a weird problem, sorry Im not much of a help in that area.

It's not so bad if i use the Windows 7 default monitor driver, i'll know when i get home in a few days.

It's not as bad with the default (2006) Windows 7 monitor driver but i still have to press the space bar and move the mouse and sometimes turn the monitor off and on or change the cable from DVI to HDMI.

There must be a hidden sleep built into the monitor or something, i disabled screen blanking in the Power Management and used the screen saver to blank the screen and it wouldn't wake up at all and i had to press the reset button to regain the use of the monitor (of course this was with the 2008 monitor driver).

I still can't see why they can't fix this issue, it can be very annoying.

Other monitors do not do this.

I never updated any monitor drivers on mine... I hate when it goes to sleep. Even if you use the mouse or hit a key it stays off... you have to push the button or use the remote to wake it up. On/Off. Ugghhh.

How is the backlight bleed on this monitor? I am going to return my Hanns G 28 I bought because the bleed is the worst I have ever seen.

After reading the manual it says to wake up from Power Saving Mode press a key on the keyboard, I've been pressing a mouse key, maybe this is the answer.

My t240HD only wakes up from keyboard buttons. Clicking on mouse is useless. Just press on the space bar a few times.

I know my system would not come out of sleep with W7 64 after an overnight rest. It was ok with a brief 10-15 min sleep but not overnight. Turns out that the fix was not to auto hide the task bar.

I can't find any backlight bleed at all, but so far the only thing I've used the monitor for is playing Demon's Souls and the ffxiii trailers from my ps3. Computer should be set up before lent starts, and then I'll go some more looking. But I love it so far.
