The Dell is 84 dollars cheeper and besides the fact that it's slightly less bright, I don't see why it's not as good as the Samsung. Are my assumptions correct? Thank you.

o, btw, what is the dell's responce time?

The Dell 1704FP is 12 or 13ms.
It is made by Samsung

The specs. look different from the 710T though.

the dell uses the regular analog input right ??? while the 710t uses dvi....also the 710n is the same thing but analog...

The 1704FP is analog and DVI

I think the lower priced model E173FP is analog only

for $411 you could get a BenQ 19" 12ms dvi Lcd. You might wanna check into it, why not get 2" free instead of the 710t.

well I did it, i saw the specs (and the crazy low price of $359!) of the dell 1703fp and i bought it. I have been looking for a while and i am pretty sold on Samsung quality and Dells killer 3 year warranty\replacement policy. If you decide on this monitor call them and ask a few questions and maybe the person helping you will try and "help" your decision by saving you 50 bucks on shipping like she did me!! :D

when i get it i'll probably post a review (im getting it by next monday at the latest so i probably will test it out a few days before writing a review)

ran

I got the Dell E173FP a few weeks back when it was $252 w/ Free Shipping. I consider it a steal for such a high quality 17" LCD. Love it and totally recommend it!
