I recently purchased a Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24'' it hasn’t arrived yet due to it being out of stock in almost every shop in Australia...

Dose anyone own this monitor? if so care to take some pics of you rigs setup just to see how it looks, cheers...

oh and if you own a PS3 or Xbox360 please post some pics of games running on it aswell thanks heaps...

thats the one I want to get too, for my new rig next month, but I want to also know is it fast for games and high end video card like the 8800GTX, i know the ms time is 6

Try using the search function; thing to note is the severe input lag.

Thanks for your reply, but i have done some searchs and im more interested in seeing this monitor being used on a console... ive only found 2 images of a ps3 running on this monitor and it wasnt ingame and it was a very bad photo. :(

The thing about "severe" input lag well what are you comparing it to? input lag is an inevitable drawback about LCD monitors. the only other monitor worth noting within these specs is the Benq FP241W 24" and i find it to be on par with the 244T.

i have the 244T and i've quit using it as a computer monitor because of the lag. I tried it once with my 360 and its not nearly as noticeable though. I'd still probably get the benq instead because it has HDMI and MVA panels seem better suited for fast motion ie dvds because they have the least amount of shimmering.

It's hard to believe that the 244t lags, first of all it has 6ms which is fast for most LCD monitors, even with the Benq at 5ms should not notice much different.

maybe the resolution is to much for your games to handle, also what type of video card you have, high ends like the 7900GTX or the 8800GTS/GTX should not see any ghosting. I think if you even use DVI instead of the analog 9 pin connector will even have better results since most video cards now have DVI, that should not be an issue.
I read some reviews of this monitor and said most of todays games run smooth on it like, Call Duty, BF2, BF2142 and some few other games.

I've got one on my system at work, attached via DVI to a 7900GS. I wouldn't concider it for gaming. Although the picture looks great for desktop work, its got some pretty serious lag and ghosting.

If you want I can take some photos or other tests next time I'm at the office.

I'd *love* to find a good 24" panel for gaming for my home computer tho.

I have a 8800GTX. We are talking about input lag and not ghosting btw. Its sort of like mouse lag where u move the mouse but theres this ever slight delay from when u move it to when it actually moves. It drove me crazy so i got a 20wmgx2, even going down 4" didnt bug me as much as the lag.

i recommend the benq 24", i like MVA panels better than pva anyway although i heard the gateway 24" is pretty good since it doesnt have as many problems as other pva based lcds.

Well it looks like I’m in the process of looking for a new LCD monitor... I’ve just cancelled my order… I hope im doing the right thing.

There were so many good points about this monitor. Maybe they will release some 16x9 monitors someday soon…

Thanks everyone for your replies, sad day for me... :(

is there any input lag like the benq 24"?

I read a post where a guy changed his MS wirless mouse to a G7 and the input lag he was experiencing disappeared, Also (if you have a wired mouse) you can change the mouse poller rate in attempt to fix it. By default it is 125MHz. If you increase it to 500MHz it should help this situation.
