Hello guys,

I could use a bit of advice.

I have always been sticking on CRTs iiyama at that. I currently have the VisionMaster Pro513 (22'')I bought some months ago. Was quite happy with it, but now that LCDs have cought up to a good level for demanding gaming, I wanted to give it a shot. Up to now I have seen only a couple of 25ms+ based screens at some friends' places, so I was discouraged when I saw the results from demanding 3D games (ie: Farcry,Doom3 etc).

I can afford getting something of good quality for the 20" range. Basically after some research, I presume need 1600x1200 and give or take 12ms so as to avoid Ghosting.

Now I have some questions,

- I know Sony and iiyama have really good picture quality in general, but I could not find something with good responce ms (at least for UK based delivery sites). Would the SyncMaster 214T do the trick? I hear Samsung has also good quality, but would it be as good as a respective Sony?

- Brightness and crisp/detailed graphical quality for demaning 3rd games that some high end LCDs give is important to me, however would I see much difference with comparison to my existing CRT?
