I ordered a 320GB drive of one of these. I have XP Home edition installed on an IDE drive already but I wanna install it again on the new Sata drive. What I plan to do is plug the SATA drive in a sata header and install a fresh copy of XP Home on it. I then want to intall the IDE drive in an IDE header and then transfer all the files over (pictures, documents, movies ect). But will I run into any problems with Microsoft validation crap saying I can't install XP again on another hard drive? I don't, of course, plan on using two copies of Windows lol, it will get deleted once I get everything over to the SATA drive.

I take it this is an OEM copy? You are using the same motherboard right? If so, you'll be fine. Worse case scenarios is, you have to spend 10 minutes validating (wait time on the phone and getting your validation code) your copy with Microsoft.
