I love my ln32b650. I thought it was flawless, but I might be noticing some input lag while playing CODWaW. It just seems differant while moving the mouse.

There is a game mode. But it screws up the image quality. You can also "name" the source input. If I name the HDMI input I'm using for my computer "PC, or DVI PC". It seems to do the same "game mode" settings. I'm assuming this because the Game Mode setting gets grayed out whenever these 2 settings are selected.

So what is the actuall purpose of these setting? I've read that it might speed up the respawnce time. But I have'nt read anything on an improved lag time. I've not done a lot of tests yet but this might be a deal breaker. Even if the lag gets better. The automatic settings the TV give me when in these modes isn't very satisfactory.

Im in the same boat as you are. Im deciding what 32" to get. I wont be using for a pc but I do notice input lag and I will use mine for my xbox 360. I would turn off AMP and that should help as well. When you use game mode or rename the inputs it is supposed to reduce the amount of video processing that is being done. This is all really why I havent moved to a 120hz panel yet. They do so much processing, its rediculous.

Everything I've read about the Samsungs indicates input lag no matter what you set. I'm not surprised, their panel tech has inherently higher input lag. I've seen very positive things about a 32" LG lately. It's been tested with essentially no measurable input lag and a pretty good panel as well.

Setting the B650 to PC should turn off all image processing; but I'll bet anything left over is due mostly to their RTA mechanism.
