Samsung sees DRAM prices falling while NAND flash prices are rising. That's good news for those of you buying memory for your computer, bad news for all us gadget guys with thumb drives, cameras and MP3 players.

Users looking for bargains in DRAM (dynamic RAM) for their PCs or laptops might see bargain prices within the next few weeks, but anyone looking for new USB (universal serial bus) flash memory sticks, iPods, or memory cards for digital cameras and other devices should think about buying soon.

Looks like I got my 8GB Corsair Thumb Drive, and 2GB CF Card for my Camera just in time!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll tell my dad he needs to buy picture memory cards ASAP. :D

I got the 2GB SanDisk Ultra 2 at Cosco for $44 I think 2 weekends ago.

My 1GB Ultra 2 was 2.5 times that price a year or so ago!

Um, yes. This story is hilarious considering Samsung entered a guilty plea for DRAM price-fixing. The real question is how long it will be before they end up pleading guilty for doing the same in the realm of flash memory.
