Samsung RAPID mode causing BSOD?

Anyone else experiencing this? After my third BSOD being caused by RAPID mode in the middle of intense data writing (the first one with confirmed data loss - a save game file with about 40 hours put into it), I am done with RAPID mode.

I've disabled it because I just can't risk the possibility of serious data loss during one of these BSOD's, and they're annoying.

I have two Samsung 840 Pro's, not in RAID configuration, and am using Samsung Magician 4.4.

Anyone else experience something like this? The BSOD references SamsungRapidDiskFltr.sys.

Thanks guys.

I have seen this on two systems, one running Windows 7 Pro and one running Windows 8.1 Pro. Disabled it and the problem went away.

Yep, I am on Windows 8.1 Pro. Since disabling it, I haven't have a problem. I would really like to keep it enabled, though. I have a lot of RAM that it can make use of and it does lead to some pretty big performance increases.

Yeah I'm with you on this one as well. Rapid is causing BSODs at random moments. Turning it off is helping immensely.

Interesting.
I enabled it about a month ago on my 840 Pro and it hasnt caused a problem yet.
Win7-64 OS.

Thanks for the headsup, I'll keep my eye out.

Which drive do you guys enable it on? I have two 840 Pros. 1 for the OS and one for gaming. Which would be the better benefit?..BSODS aside.

Thought I would bump this since I am considering trying RAPID mode again... has anyone who's been using RAPID mode run into this since or know if it's been fixed?

It has caused instability for me recently, seems to have gone away for now. But it did cause some bsod and reboots when it occurred like others have said.

I saw the BSOD when i ran Rapid mode on a samung drive that was my D drive. Once I switch to C I was fine

Win 7 Pro with 840 EVO as C drive.

I did see one BSOD referencing the RAPID driver once, but that was it. Nothing recently. I just wish we could set it to use more than 1GB RAM.
