Any thoughts on this and what exactly is 165 htz motion blurr technology?

I believe it's just marketing related to the higher refresh rate and VRR support.

I have the QN90A and the QN90B and they are both badass displays for everything from bedroom movies to living room show TVs or gaming room "monitors" like a jack of all trades. What do you want to know about them?

To drag an ancient annoyance of mine out from the dusty cupboard, I have to wonder if the 43" panel used in the QN90F series has finally gotten rid of that awful pixel interference issue that made me stop using the FV43U and move to the 50" QN90A. I'm still using it and it's going strong but I wouldn't complain in the slightest if I could get the same visual quality at 43" rather than the desk-consuming 50"!

Be careful when shopping for these kinds of screens because the smaller variants sometimes have different screen tech.

. . . . . .

This is the breakdown for the QN90F, at least according the RTings:

"The two smaller models have fewer speakers (20W 2 channels on the 43-inch, 40W 2.2 channels on the 50-inch), and have Neo Quantum HDR instead of Neo Quantum HDR+, which means that they're likely not as bright or as colorful as the bigger models. "

Size US Model Short Model Code Costco Variant........................Neo Quantum HDR+
43" QN43QN90FAFXZA QN43QN90F - No 20W, 2.0................. NO
50" QN50QN90FAFXZA QN50QN90F - No 40W, 2.2................. NO
55" QN55QN90FAFXZA QN55QN90F - Yes 60W, 4.2.2.............YES
65" QN65QN90FAFXZA QN65QN90F QN65QN90FDFXZA.......Yes

Good information. Didn't know that the smaller sizes didn't have HDR+ although from these notes seems like the 43 does retain HDR+ ? The cart is a little weird

If you order from Amazon it's a free return they have the best return policy no questions asked just return it if you wanna try it. I just get the 50" and run it in ultra widescreen 3840x1600 it's so sweet.

Don't confuse HDR10, DolbyVision mastered HDR, HDR10+ formats . . . with samsung's naming buzz-words for the different screen's brightness limits, ai performance, etc. (Quantum HDR and Quantum HDR+). It's confusing naming by calling it plus ( " + " ). Quantum HDR still does HDR10+.

I think Quantum HDR+ is a label they give the larger screens because they have more dimming zones. somewhat higher performance/brightness ~ color volume capability. I don't know the exact # of zones in each model but apparently the smaller ones have less (which makes sense), and probably can't go quite as bright/as high of a HDR color volume per given % window. The larger screens also have some AI HDR stuff to "inject HDR"/ Lift SDR for SDR movies and shows that the smaller screens don't have. AI HDR "injection" wise, people connecting a PC to these could use nvidia's RTX HDR stuff though, instead of the TV's own "hdr injection" of SDR. RTX HDR for games but it also has enhancements for movies/vids. (Some SDR games on PC may also have a RenoDX "hdr injection" mod available.).

It's a shame the QN90F has abraded screen where the QN90D didn't. TCL screens that are comparable are all too big for my purpose as a side screen (they are 55" for the QM7K, and the QM8k and QM9K are limited to 65" and larger). 43 inch is my limit for that. Samsung also put abrasion on their OLEDs this gen.

Well went to the BestBuy Montgomeryville and the Samsung Q picture is amazing they had them right next to the LG's I can say I like the Samsung picture better. However, no one there could tell me if the 165 htz motion technology is real 165 htz or some gimmick so until I have answers I will pass.
