Hello,

Bought an SSD online, I think it's locked in raid mode. When I try to convert to GPT or MBR in diskpart I get "I/O error". I'm only able to clean the disk, but nothing seems to happen even with no error. Same goes for creating a simple volume in disk management - i/o error. The disk reads 1907gb right now, probably because it was in RAID.

How do you undo this?

Thanks!

Easier way:
1. Use a Windows machine
2. run admin mode command prompt
3. start diskpart
4. "list disk" find the drive you're looking for and note number
5. "select disk X" where X is the number of the drive you need to reformat
6. "clean" clears EVERYTHING from the drive, even RAID configs. the drive is now clean
7. "exit" as many times as you need to exit everything.
