Samsung or Westinghouse

So, from what I've been looking at, the samsung 42 flat panel is simply the best looking tv there is (compared to other flat panels). On the other hand, the westy 37 inch does 1080p and looks ok, and is cheaper.

What do you guys think?

I'd say, budget is a key factor. But ultimately, you don't wanna be saying "Damn, I wish I got that Samsung/Westinghouse instead" a year down the road, so whichever is the most appealing to you and the budget concerns are your determining factor, imo.

There is also a Westinghouse 47" LCD TV 1080p too...

Available at best buy. not too much more than the 37"

Ouch...Best Buy..

the 37 westy is around a grand at sams club. That is why I'm so torn. Spend a G and get a good tv capable of 1080p, or get an unbelievable looking samsung.

I have both. The Westy is a MUCH better monitor, but the Sammy is a MUCH better HDTV...4000:1 contrast? Hell yes.

How does the Westinghouse compare as a TV? obviously not as good as the Samsung, but is it decent?
