samsung mp3 player not working

i bought samsung YH-820 three weeks ago. its a 5GB hdd mp3 player. it was working fine since 2 days ago. now whenever i turn it on, it says its battery is low even when it was charging for long time. (there is a light on the charger that tell you if its fully charged or not)

did the battery die already or is there a problem with the mp3 player?
 
see if you can get a free replacement or repair from samsung......matter of fact, demand it.
