I have an HP i7 win 8.1 laptop with intel sata raid controller, It came with 24gb cache msata ssd and one TB hdd. It now has a 500 reg sata PNY 480 ssd and I just put in an msata 500gb 840 evo samsung in the msata. I turned off the raid 0 using RST control panel and am running as two regular ssds. However Samsung magician says unknown interface and says achi is deactivated. There are no option in bios to change settings to regular just to create a raid volume. I downloaded RST drivers but already have the latest one. Can I roll back all the way to MS default drivers on a raid chip.? I don't want to make the system unbootable. The Samsung magician does recognize the the drive and says trim is working.. Speeds are in the 450 -500 range...
