I'm looking at getting a 46" 240Hz Samsung LCD - LN46B750. It features an ethernet port for access to internet contnet etc. It also says that it supports DLNA meida streaming. Has anyone used this feature on a similar Samsung LCD? I want to stream dvd's from my FreeNAS/server via UPnP straight to the lcd. Or does anyone have an LCD that would better suit this?

First off, don't buy an LCD based on this requirement! Buy your TV based on Picture Quality (PQ), and your viewing envirnment. Second do your research here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=166

I personally have a Samsung LN52A650, a Sony PS3 and a home built HTPC. I built the HTPC, because I was dissatisified with the streaming abilities of the PS3. I think you will find the same is true with TVs that do streaming. Having a HTPC is by far a better solution. Mine has a pasive water cooling system so it is dead silent. I also reccommend a Harmoney One remote; expensive, but worth it.

If you buy an LCD TV pay close attention to the reviews on both AVS Forums and amazon.com. They are made in batches and some batchs/sizes come out better than others. I bought from amazone and I was very pleased with the process.

Good luck, let us know how it works for you.

Well from the reviews I read and the first hand experience with the picture of this tv, I'm pretty settled on the picture quality and am planning on purchasing it. I was really just interested in the DLNA streaming capabilities and from AVS forum it appears it works, just not perfectly, which is what I was expecting. I'll be getting the tv soon and will post my own review of the tv with its DLNA capability. Thanks for the link Dave.
