**SOLVED - Read thread***

Hello,

Just pick up this 2010 model, and have issues already. My input for my pc only looks decent on VGA (hdmi is blurry and terrible looking on any port). Also I need to use auto adjustment every time to get the image to properly fit; And when I switch inputs, i'm forced to re-do auto adjustment every time i switch back.

What can I do to get around this?
Should I just return it and get a different model perhaps a Toshiba??

definitely a settings issue, both TV menu settings and video card control panel settings.

All of those issues can be cleared up, unfortunately i wouldn't know how to guide you with that particular TV. TV's are never plug and play when used as PC monitors, so there's a good chance you'd have similar issues with those other TV's you linked.

You'll likely have to mess with your videocard's "overscan" options, especially if it's an ATI card, that'll keep you from having to do the auto-adjust all the time, or it should anyway.

Good chance you'll find more info here, do a forum specific search using these phrases: "LN32C550 PC" or "LN32C550 monitor". Samsung TV's are commonly used as PC monitors so the info should be out there somewhere.

Edit: i was speaking in reference to using HDMI, not VGA.

I have tried everything, even stropped the overscaning the image over HDMI just doesnt work, it has a blurr and ghost effect around everything, tried different ports, cords, settings, everything.

I dont think it has 1:1 Over HDMI; thats why I brought up the Toshiba it has NativeTM that gives true 1:1 over hdmi. I never found any information on this model for this, but I need a working tv.

Has anyone had experience with Toshiba?

This is showing up at the top of Google Search. So i'm going to update it in case people run into this.

**SOLVED**

Well it might be my lack of HDTV knowledge, but I actually had to 'rename' my input to DVI PC.
Really stupid design decision having all these important settings scattered all over the OSD and some even hidden.
Well it worked, and here I thought naming inputs had no real visual value as the TV 'should' of been smart enough to detect and setup the display accordingly, regardless a huge oversight.

I got it working, excellent TV/Monitor (Way way way better picture than my old units!), I was told this unit was one of the best 32" Units and now I see why, I enjoy having my desk space back instead of two crowded monitors. 32">24"x2 imo.

...

Now I know why mine didn't work... Well, I just used D-SUB the entire time I had it, but I don't own it anymore - just bought 60" DLP... :D Cool information.

Congrats, i knew there was some misplaced setting somewhere.
