Samsung LCD-TV's...

I just got this Samsung LCDTV/HDTV screen (LT-p227Q) to test out w/ my consoles games...

I havn't gotten the component cables yet for my consoles (xbox/ps2)... but I'm wondering if gaming on LCD's will always seem blurry-ish?

I know you dont get true hi-def images using old tradional tv's.. but the scan lines give it a fake crispness to it which I like.

On LCD's... i guess the poor video output = poor video on lcd until I upgrade to the component cables? I'm just hoping component gaming will look like HDTV?

Im guessing DVI input would seem just like a standard pc monitor...

I've got a friend with an lcd that we will watch movies on...I definately notice that for her DVD player its hella blurry, you get used to it though. Maybe its different for different cables like you said though

Component cables, combined with setting the appropriate output in the Xbox's dashboard and the PS2's internal settings, will help tremendously.

Most definitely component cables will help but on the Box be sure to get the High Def pack b/c there are component cables out there that don't have the converter thus making for a better connection but not an HD connection. I'm running into this trouble also with making LCD TV's work for a portable Box monitor so let me know if that Samsung looks good with the HD on.

So I picked up the component cables by monster, and turned on all the HD settings on the Xbox and played some Tony Hawk...

So my only problem now is a wierd one... I can't escape the thought that my 22" widescreen is nothing more than a fancy LCD, hehe.

I keep staring at it, and I'm wondering... why isnt it hooked up to my PC?

Now I'm out looking for a over the air (OTA) HD reciever and antenna to hook up to my new lcd via dvi...
