Samsung 'HHDs'?

I was just wondering if anyone had any info on Samsung's HHDs they are planning on introducing to go along side Vista?

but am wondering if any of you have heard any semi-firm pricing/availability/performance figures.

Samsung is the sixth largest maker in the world, with a 7.2 percent share in 2005.

That means that they are pretty much the smallest. Quick someone name 5 HDD makers:

1. Seagate
2. Maxtor
3. Western Digital
4. Hitachi
5. well um.. Fujitsu

being number 6 in such a consolidated market doesn't mean much imho.

I have mixed feelings about that. WD has the most reliable drives lately, but Samsung has a really high performance 250GB drive. I just dont see enough Samsung drives in action to know how reliable they are. The drives I see die the least often are WD and Fujitsu, oddly enough.

Nothing wrong with the Samsungs, been using them since most other makes take a big dump on my builds.

Oh, I have nothing against Samsung or their drives. I just have a much better chance at keeping my job with Seagate buying us, rather than Samsung.
